The Grognon: Considered the cradle of Namur, this site has been occupied since prehistoric times and urbanized since the Middle Ages.District destruction: In the years 1960-1970, the historic district visible in this image was razed for the purpose of urban modernization, resulting in the demolition of 150 houses and the departure of 2000 inhabitants.The current Confluence: After remaining an empty space for several decades (nicknamed the "curse of the Grognon"), the site was recently revitalized and inaugurated in 2021 under the name of L'Espace Confluence, becoming a central public place again with the development of an esplanade and the NID building (Namur Intelligent and Sustainable)
